Whisk together:
1-1/3 cup flour
1/2 TSP salt
1 TBS sugar
2 TSP instant yeast
1 TSP baking powder
Heat 1 cup water to 110 degrees and add to dry ingredients and stir.
Pour into a 4 cup measure, cover with plastic and let double in size. Takes about 15 to 25 minutes.
Drop by greased spoonfuls into hot oil and flip and fry until golden. Drain on paper towels.
